Netherlands 2–2 Japan
Twice the Netherlands led in Dallas, and twice they could not make it stick. Virgil van Dijk headed them ahead after the break, Crysencio Summerville restored the lead when Japan pegged them level, and each cushion lasted only minutes. Daichi Kamada's eighty-ninth-minute equaliser turned three points into one. Six shots on target from a controlled, sixty-percent share of the ball, and still the game slipped away at the last. They did enough to win, and that is not the same as finishing the job.

Netherlands 5–1 Sweden
Five goals, and barely a chance wasted. Brobbey had it won inside twenty minutes; Gakpo made it a rout after the break, and the Dutch punished nearly every opening they were given. Look past the scoreline, though, and a closer game hides underneath: Sweden took more shots, won more corners, and forced the busier goalkeeper, who stood up with seven saves. An expected-goals line of 2.47 calls this control, not annihilation. The finishing was lethal tonight; it won't always run this hot, but file it gladly.

Netherlands 3–1 Tunisia
The Netherlands made the early statement and never had to make another. Two goals to the good inside seven minutes — an own goal, then a Brian Brobbey finish from Virgil van Dijk's delivery — they settled into the kind of control a side ranked eighth in the field can usually summon at will. Seven shots on target told of a steady stream of chances, and when Tunisia pulled one back through Hazem Mastouri, Jan Paul van Hecke restored the two-goal cushion within minutes. Comfortable without being spectacular, professional without being cruel. Job done, and on to the next.

Netherlands 1–1 Morocco
For an hour Netherlands chased shadows, and a goal against the run of play almost rescued them anyway. Morocco had seventy percent of the ball and a 1.4-to-0.23 expected-goals edge — a siege — yet Cody Gakpo broke the deadlock on seventy-two minutes, one of his side's two shots on target. It could not last. Ismael Diop levelled in stoppage time, and at the shootout, where the Dutch keeper had already made five saves, the nerve went. Morocco won it three to two. The eighth-most-valued squad here was second-best long before the penalties.

Friendship blends realized national co-starts with a club-chemistry bonus, so a settled XI and a club-spine squad both score high. Near 100 the total eases so the most-settled squads stay separated rather than all tying out. Gold lines trace the spine: teammates who share a club right now.
