Germany 7–1 Curacao
Seven goals, and not one of them felt like an accident. Franz Nmecha opened inside six minutes, Kai Havertz finished with two, and an expected-goals line of 4.22 said this was a side doing exactly what its talent demands. Twenty-six shots, twelve on target, the lead never once in doubt after Curacao's brief equaliser. Daniel Undav's late goal and two assists rounded off an afternoon of ruthless, almost casual control. This was the performance the rankings always promised. Germany simply went and delivered it.

Germany 2–1 Ivory Coast
For an hour this looked like the kind of night that haunts a favourite. Kessié's goal put Ivory Coast ahead and Germany, for all their possession, kept running into a packed defence and a busy goalkeeper. Then Undav happened — twice. His leveller settled the nerves, and his second in the ninety-fourth minute turned a stumble into three points just as the doubts were hardening. An expected-goals edge of 1.83 to 1.23 says Germany deserved it on balance; the manner says they will need to be sharper. A win is a win. This one had to be earned.

Germany 1–2 Ecuador
Germany could not have asked for a better start, nor engineered a worse finish. Leroy Sane's second-minute strike suggested a routine evening; what followed was a chastening reminder that reputations are not points. Ecuador levelled through Nilson Angulo by the ninth minute and won it through Gonzalo Plata in the seventy-seventh. Germany had their grievance — a penalty awarded and then cancelled just after the break — but their response, for all the pressing, produced too little to trouble Ecuador. This was a side that took an early gift and assumed the rest would follow. It did not.

Germany 1–1 Paraguay
Germany did everything but win. Seventy-five percent of the ball, twenty-one shots, sixteen corners — and a tournament over on penalties. Kai Havertz cancelled out Julio Enciso's first-half strike, Jan Tah had an extra-time goal ruled out for a foul, and still the breakthrough would not come, because in the Paraguay goal a goalkeeper was having the night of his life. It went to a shootout, and Paraguay held their nerve where Germany did not. The better side for two hours is on a plane home. Knockout football does not grade on chances created.

Friendship blends realized national co-starts with a club-chemistry bonus, so a settled XI and a club-spine squad both score high. Near 100 the total eases so the most-settled squads stay separated rather than all tying out. Gold lines trace the spine: teammates who share a club right now.
