Ghana 1–0 Panama
One shot. One, in the entire ninety minutes, and Christopher Yirenkyi buried it at the death to win the game. Read that again, because it may be the smash-and-grab of the tournament: Ghana had thirty-six percent of the ball, an expected-goals figure of 0.03, and no business whatsoever taking three points from a Panama side that controlled everything but the only thing that counts. Brandon Thomas-Asante supplied the one moment of quality the night demanded. Football can be brutally unfair. Tonight, Ghana will not mind a bit.

Full time · The Report A point few expected
Ghana 0–0 England
Ghana came to Gillette Stadium with a job to do and did it without flinching. They spent much of the night defending their box — nine corners faced, England pressing for an opener that never came — but a goalkeeper worth three saves and a back line that refused to break sent them home with a point few expected. They mustered only a single shot on target themselves, and will not mind a bit. Holding the tournament's second-most expensive side to nil is the kind of night a campaign is built on.

Full time · The Report Level, then caught late
Ghana 1–2 Croatia
Ghana will feel this was there for the taking. They matched Croatia for long spells and, when Derrick Luckassen levelled just past the hour, looked the more likely to find a winner — the expected goals, 0.73 to 0.46 in their favour, back that up. But Nikola Vlasic's strike in the eighty-third was the cruel blow, and Ghana could not muster a reply. Petar Sucic's first-half opener had given Croatia the platform, and in the end the more experienced side managed the closing stretch the better. A narrow defeat, and a performance to build on.

Full time · The Report Never got going
Ghana 0–1 Colombia
Ghana never laid a glove on this one. Jhon Arias's early goal was all Colombia needed, and for all their effort Ghana mustered 0.26 expected goals and not a single shot on target — their goalkeeper, with seven saves, was the only reason it stayed a one-goal game. They were second to every loose ball and every big moment. There is no argument with the result. Ghana's tournament ends quietly, well beaten.

Friendship blends realized national co-starts with a club-chemistry bonus, so a settled XI and a club-spine squad both score high. Near 100 the total eases so the most-settled squads stay separated rather than all tying out. Gold lines trace the spine: teammates who share a club right now.
